Funny Face!

This week Ryder started his new FACE.  He was watching Yo Gabba Gabba one day and I saw him looking at the TV making this face!  So now, this is what I get in pictures... let's hope not forever.
And Poppy got in on the action too...
Now, I beg for a normal sweet face...
And then he did it again the next day (Paisley is playing peek-a-boo)

playtime!

Friday we had a fun little day out.  We did a bit of tax-free shopping at nordstrom rack (which I love more everytime I go!) and then we headed down to Central Market.  It was the annual Hatch chile time - love it.  So we got some hatch yummies, ate lunch & played on the playground.  Ryder always loves this playground - and this time Paisley did too!
Paisley was having a blast and just decided she'd crawl up the slide herself...
What's funny about this is I didn't plan to take any pictures, but had my camera in my diaper bag, so I grabbed it and tried to take a few the best I could with both kids on the playground.  When I came home and loaded them I realized THIS.  That blog was from the exact same Friday last year.  :)  It was so cute to look at those pictures of Ryder on that same playground one year ago.  But this year he had a playmate with him.  ;)

This one goes to Eleven.

Paisley is 11 months old today!  One month from the big O-N-E!   I'll spare all the details of what she's up to till next month.  But I will say that she is talking more and standing in the middle of the floor unsupported as I speak... so the walking could be any day!
Here she was yesterday so proud of herself standing at the window (about to dig into the plants)!
And today!  11 month old sweet girl!
She is finally sporting her size TWO nikes Aunt Sarah gave her!  Yep, she's been in a size one for 10 months!  She's got her momma's feet... one day we'll share! ;)

step by step

Paisley girl is learning to walk.  She amazes me at how quickly she decides to do something and goes for it!  I knew she would walk early, but I don't know if I'm ready for all this yet.  I remember with Ryder just begging him to take a step, "Come to mommie!?!"  "Walk to the cookie!!!"  haha.  With her it's more like, "Can you please just sit and play!?" :)  She has yet to take any steps on her own but she's progressed from cruising on furniture to walking while holding onto your hands.  {Of course while squeeling with glee the whole way.}  I know I need to post a video...  I need to do a lot of things right now...

I've been trying to teach myself to become more organized.  I am admitedly a messy person.  I can be a  super neat, perfecctionist when it comes to some things, but I do not operate in that part of my brain at most times.  I operate in the more passionate, creative, go at 50 things at one time kinda way.  I'm learning that to balance all the things I am and keep myself and my family sane I have GOT to get more organized.  Speaking of which - what are we doing these days??  To clarify, since people always ask, here's what Daniel and I are up to:
  • Daniel's "day job" is still with Mesa, a home audio company.
  • He also works for IWL, a music company where he does music editing, tech, etc. from home.  With cutbacks at Mesa he is now being allowed to work from home a couple days a week (yet another obstacle and reason to get organized!)
  • He is also now part time staff doing audio for our church, CCC.
  • And of course he serves as President, CEO & CFO of the household!  :)
  • I am still working at the 'Bucks partime - usually 20ish hrs/week.  I go in at night when Daniel gets home and we have our passing of the baton (or baby).  Ryder has started saying, "Mommy go work coffee?"  If you ask him what daddy does he says he, "makes sound."
  • I also work from home for IWL doing Admin & Publishing.
  • And I have too many hobbies that I don't have time for (ie. sewing, scrapbooks, cooking, blogging party planning...)
  • And I am, of course VP, head chef, maid, etc of the house! :)
So that's where we are these days.  I write this down so that some day (God willing!!) when we are not spread this thin we will look back and see. :) All that to say, we need some MAD organization these days.  So I'm trying.  I was inspired by a blog I follow that I've mentioned before, the Creative Momma.  She posted a weekly routine in which she laid out all the chores, sectioned off by day, etc.  Nothing fancy, nothing complex.  Just a plan of steps to get things done in the week.  I've done the same.  Instead of waking up each morning feeling so overwhelmed by all the things that need to be done and then going to bed at night defeated because I didn't do any of them because I didn't know where to start I have a couple things each day along with normal plans, workout schedule and meal plans all organized for the week ahead.  There I put it all out here and you all are my witnesses.  I am getting organized.  I followed it last week and this week even bought a little dry erase calender at target to help the efforts! :)

SO...fast forward to this morning at church during worship....  I feel like God shows me the most things during worship and some weeks I really want to just run off stage in the middle and write things down.  This morning we did a new (old!) song.  (You can watch & listen to the Hillsong version there if you like.)  They have added some new verses to the old Rich Mullins song.  It took me back to days of listening to my daddy playing guitar and singing Rich Mullins.  But it brought into light the two things that God's been teaching me in the past couple (overwhelming at times) weeks.  He's teaching me the process and beauty of taking steps.  Little steps each day.  With Him & in life.  Watching Paisley take her little steps holding on to my hands today just brought it all full circle.  Thank you Jesus for holding onto my hands and letting me take my own steps, letting me fall, and picking me back up again and letting me hang on.

From the rising to the setting of the sun
All Your ways are loving and are faithful
Your road is narrow but Your burden light
Because You gladly lean to lead the humble
I shall gladly kneel to leave my pride

Oh God You are my God
And I will ever praise You
Oh God You are my God
And I will ever praise You

I will seek You in the morning
I will learn to walk in Your ways
And step by step You'll lead me
And I will follow You all of my days
